Lead Shield's Hollow Metal Frames can be provided knocked down in three pieces and can be inserted into an existing wall opening. Frames can also be supplied welded, but must be built into the wall during construction.

| Lead Shield has combined the door frame, mortising and hardware into a product called an Assembly. By purchasing both a door and Assembly, Lead Shield offers a complete unit, ready for installation. |

| Due to the increased weight of a heavily shielded door, special consideration must be given to the hinging and supporting arrangement. Assemblies come in 3 hinge types, determined by the door size & lead thickness. Assemblies are also available for double doors. |
