All openings penetrating the protective barrier, such as electrical outlets, ductwork, piping, etc., require shielding.

This is obtained by a lead barrier behind these openings of sufficient coverage and thickness to prevent penetration of radiation.

lead doors In all uses of laminated panels, it is important that the panels be butted as closely as possible.
lead shield Lead liner for electrical coverplate. (cover plate not supplied)
lead lined Used to indicate what walls are shielded with what thickness lead.Measures 3" x 5" with up to six lines of text.
lead lined door Used to provide shielding behind an electrical box that protrudes through the lead lined sheetrock.
In order to prevent radiation leakages, Butt and Corner Seam Strips are used to create overlap.
